Celtic Cross Stone-Carvers Factory
 |
Here we see one of the Quarries from which the natural stone is taken. This is only one of many around the Earth
which yield a particular variety of Stone. The tall apparatus around the edge of the Quarry are 'derricks' and
they lift the stone to awaiting heavy-haul trucks. |
 |
Pure Jet Black Granite is very Rare. But, we now offer it at very competitive prices - and it can be Carved to include a Sculptural element right into your Block of Granite. |
 |
In this photo we see the 'rough-cut' equipment. It is here that a stone which may weigh many many tons is 'rough-cut'
into sizes which will be further refined before polishing. |
 |
The Granite or Marble Blocks
are cut into the required shapes
and sizes. |
 |
Giant Diamond Saw Blades are
run in water to cut the Granite
or Marble as required.
|
 |
Finally the stone which came from a Quarry is ready for the final polishing. This is a very slow, tedious, time
consuming process. But, it is the work here that your Celtic Cross or other Monument takes on the finish which
will last so long. |
 |
The Sections of the Celtic Cross finished in the 'Polishing Room' and ready to go to the hand-carver for the
surface work. You can see some of the equipment in the background. |
 |
This is where the surface pattern is hand-carved onto the polished surface. You can see the chisels where the
Craftsmen left them. It's where the Basket-weave or 'Knot-work' or any other artwork you wish is delicately carved. |
 |
This photo is of the 'Crating Room" where the finished Sculpture gets it's final inspection and is then
Crated to be shipped by the Sea-freighter. It doesn't matter if the Sculpture is a Celtic Cross, or a Cemetery
Statue or a Fountain, or a Monument - it all comes here to receive a very close inspection before a Wooden Crate
is built around it.
From here the Sculpture is consigned F.O.B. - fully insured and In Bond to U.S. Customs with Crematory Urns as
the Consignee. We clear customs before we consign the Sculpture to a "Common Carrier" Motor-freight Trucking
Company for final delivery to your selected destination. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to communicate
with us. |
